About Me

Let me begin by introducing myself, My name is Charlotte Smith and I am a fully qualified and experienced Integrative Counsellor.
When I think of my life, I think it is sufficient to say , that it has indeed been colourful.
Through all my difficulties and personal struggles, I always had a love for life and a love and need for meaning in this complex world.
My background is in teaching and supporting young people who have severe learning difficulties or whom have experienced trauma. I have also worked within the Performing Arts Industry.
My work and life experiences, both good and bad have enabled me to be here, right in this very moment, which I am eternally grateful for. I have always had a passion for the human mind and behaviour and how this shapes our lives.
All my experiences provided me with the knowledge, meaning and tools to help others.
Following five years of education , training and extensive personal therapy of my own, I qualified as an Integrative Counsellor and since then have continued to work within the public sector whilst expanding my private practice. I have also provided training within educational environments to help with the many mental health issues young people face and how we can support them.
I have a special interest in trauma, sex and love addiction and domestic abuse.
I have a deep desire to always learn and evolve. My love, my passion is ``people``. I adore our individualism , how unique we all are and how important it is to listen, to empathise without judgement or assumption.
I believe you are the expert, the author of your own story and together with my professional and personal experiences, we will discover a greater understanding of who you are, that enhances a positive, holistic way forward, together.
